If you haven’t heard about or used bitly before, let me get you up to speed. Bitly lets you easily save, share, and track links along with a really sweet set of analytics on the backend if you sign up for a free acount. This is incredibly valuable if you are an avid Twitter user, or you simply are curious to see how many people are clicking the links that you share. Along with their new site redesign, bitly launched a new iPhone app to let users save and share links on the go. Here is a quick look at the features included:
As an avid bitly user myself, I quickly downloaded the app and took some time to explore how it would interact in daily use.
In short, it was fantastic.
After a quick sign-in process, there is a very simple introduction on how to save links. Emailing a link to a special address will add the link to your list; each user gets a unique address that can easily be added to your contact list. After the setup, I could easily view all of my links and drill down into the metrics that I was looking for, as well as viewing the content in the mobile format within the app. You also have the choice to save links by manual copy and paste, which is a nice addition, but largely unnecessary given how easy it is to email links to save within the iPhone interface. All of the test links that I saved through the app appeared within seconds on my main bitly account, and the app fast and responsive, even on my 3-year-old 3GS.
Overall, the bitly app is a stellar addition to your mobile toolkit for staying connected with your links and it makes it easy to enjoy the full site features even if you aren’t add your computer.

I love Instagram, its one of my favorite mobile apps for its inherent simplicity. The one downside is that it can be hard to organically stumble onto other peoples amazing pictures unless you spend a lot of time in the “Popular” section. Â To save you the trouble, I’ve collected 11 of the best instagram users with photos that range from fashion to pets to food to amazing places around the world, and added several other great lists at the bottom.
In addition, I’ve also added links to some tips to make the most of using Instagram, even when you are away from your phone.
“Capturing the magic” seems to be the best way to describe dvl.
